Year 5 Class Teacher – Maternity Cover beginning 1st September 2026

King David Primary School is a modern Orthodox Jewish school in North Manchester with a diverse and welcoming staff and positive working environment. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher to join our happy, successful and welcoming school for a full -time, temporary, maternity cover post in Year 5. King David Primary is a Jewish school, however we welcome applicants from all communities to join our team.

We are looking for a teacher with experience of teaching in KS2 who has an excellent knowledge of the Y5 National Curriculum with successful experience of teaching writing and an up-to-date knowledge of the adaptations necessary for effective teaching of SEND and in particular neurodiverse pupils.

We look forward to hearing from excellent classroom practitioners who care about and inspire children as well as having high standards and expectations in all areas of school life.

King David Primary was awarded Outstanding in all categories after an Ofsted Inspection in April 2023 and Outstanding in all categories in the Pikuach faith Inspection in June 2024.

This post involves the type of work with children and young people that requires applicants to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post.
