Spina Bifida Awareness Day

On Friday 30th October King David Primary marked Spina Bifida awareness day.
In Year 3 we have a boy who has Spina Bifida and he shared with all of us, through a video, what life is like living with this condition. Children were asked to come into school wearing a yellow accessory. Yellow is the colour associated with ‘Shine’.

Shine’ provides specialist support from before birth and throughout
the life of anyone living with Spina Bifida and/or hydrocephalus.
Shine’ enables people to get the best out of life.

Libby Michaelson in Year 6 organized a team of children to created beautiful bracelets, and with their help, and parental contributions, we have managed to raise an incredible £1746.20!!

Thank you to everyone,

 Francine Epstein
